Two ski towns that have merged into one, hence the name, at 1500m on the south facing side of the Sion valley. This famous resort has sun drenched skiing a plenty.
Looking directly at the Matterhorn mountain it seems to polarise people’s oppinions with a recent modern property development scheme. This town now has a mixture of choc box Swiss chalets and modern apartments.
Being one of the closest Swiss ski resorts to Geneva airport its very popular for ski weekends and locals in the valley. Its wide open pistes are excellent for intermediates but rarely challenging and do get effected by the sun, especially late in the season.
