Chamonix Mont Blanc

The original alpine town, the home of mountaineering, skiing and Europes biggest mountain Mt Blanc. Chamonix has been welcoming tourists both winter and summer since the late 1700’s and it’s easy to see why. This steep sided valley on the tri boarder of France, Italy & Switzerland has some of the highest and most extreme skiing available anywhere in the world.

Open winter and summer it boasts ski pistes of near 200km in distance ranging from the family friendly tree lined ski area of Les Houches & Le Tour to the high altitude glacial skiing of the Grands Montets ‘Cham’ has something to offer every skier of any ability.

The Aiguille du midi is one of Chamonix’s main attractions and is one of the highest cable cars in the world at 3900m. It offers unrivalled views of Mt Blanc and accesses the valley blanches, the world famous 20km off piste glacial run.

High end chalets and hotels adorn the valley floor making Chamonix one of the favoured chalet holiday resorts but don’t be fooled. Cham isn’t just for the well healed as it retains its earthy roots and you’ll find a wonderful mixture of die-hard ski bums, families and well healed individuals skiing the same pistes and enjoying cham’s apres culture giving the town a very inclusive and international feel.

The GAT team are permanently based in Chamonix and it’s been our home for the last 14 years.
